Anna Netrebko: Live at the Spanish Riding School

Join Anna Netrebko for a magical concert filmed earlier this year as part of the Met Stars Live in Concert series. An iconic figure in today’s opera world, the Russian soprano is acclaimed worldwide for the beauty and opulence of her voice as well as her captivating stage presence. Against the spectacular backdrop of Vienna’s historic Spanish Riding School, she brings her innate sense of drama to a selection of art songs and opera excerpts in no fewer than five languages. A recital rich in contrasts features settings of poetry about day and night by composers including Debussy, Dvořák, Leoncavallo, Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov and Richard Strauss. Netrebko is accompanied by pianist Pavel Nebolsin and joined by mezzo Elena Maximova for duets by Offenbach and Tchaikovsky.
