Join Camille Thomas as she presents music from her second Deutsche Grammophon album, Voice of Hope, against the backdrop of a series of beautiful Parisian settings. This film, in which the Franco-Belgian cellist talks about her repertoire choices and the power of music and other forms of culture to help us in times of adversity, features her performances of Ravel’s Kaddisch and an extract from Never Give Up – the concerto written for her by Fazil Say – as well as arrangements of songs and operatic excerpts by Purcell, Gluck, Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti, Massenet, Dvořák and Wagner.
